Become a Missouri patient

It's easy to obtain an easy Missouri medical marijuana patient card. The requirements to obtain a Missouri medical cannabis card are easy. The patient must be at least 18 years old, a Missouri resident, and possess the qualifying condition which is officially recognized by a doctor using the required form. A doctor will recommend medical cannabis when he or believes that it's an alternative to prescription medication for chronic conditions.
A terminal illness
Other chronic, debilitating or medical issues identified by a doctor may include the following: hepatitis C and amyotrophic-lateral sclerosis, Crohn's Disease, Huntington's Disease, autism, and neuropathies.

Application and fee

Before patients can submit an online application they need to be prepared by providing the following information:

The most important information is your name, date of birth, and social security number.
Address for mail and email
Missouri residency certificate: A photocopy of a Missouri driver's license, an identification card issued by Missouri, or a Missouri registration of a vehicle.
A Missouri-licensed physician must complete and sign the physician certificate form. It must be issued within thirty days from the date the patient made the application. For submission electronically, the form must be photographed or scanned.
A visible duplicate of the ID Card issued by the government.
If appropriate, written consent from a parent/legal guardian for non-emancipated eligible patients.
A clear, vivid color photo of the qualifying patient that was taken in the last three (3) months
Optional: A declaration indicating the extent to which the patient is receiving assistance from any Missouri programs If so, which.
An indication of whether the patient is seeking the right to cultivate cannabis for medical reasons.
Attestation statement (a brief statement that confirms the authenticity of the patient)

How do you become a caregiver?

Caregivers must be at least 21 years old and should be able to take on the responsibility of taking treatment of medical marijuana patients. Although caregivers are able to take care of more than three patients at a time however, patients are limited to two caregivers. The patient who is eligible must fill out an authorization to designate their caretaker. This form must be completed by completing the online application.

Rules and regulations

Missouri is not a state that allows medical marijuana patients to be sentenced. Once you have obtained a medical cannabis card, your patient and caregiver status could be canceled in the event of a conviction.

Once state-licensed dispensaries are available, consumers can buy and possess as much as four ounces of dried cannabis that has not been processed. When purchasing cannabis from a state-licensed dispensary the customer will be required to pay a tax of 4 percent on the retail price.

Patients and caregivers who are certified to cultivate can cultivate up to six mature plants per patient. Missouri law permits cultivation by patients. The department doesn't have details about how or where to purchase seeds.

Missouri Medical Marijuana Program strongly affirms that it isn't able to provide reciprocity to non-state medical marijuana patients. Only Missouri residents who qualify are eligible for the program.
